What would happen if your indoor blower control fan relay went out on a heat pump? ?

would it cause the motor to burn up?What would happen if your indoor blower control fan relay went out on a heat pump? ?
It could cause damage to compressor motor, some units have flow switches on them to prevent this from happening but with all mfg. trying to make cheaper units this is a feature not used much in home units. If compressor was running without the indoor coil removing the heat this is transferred back to compressor causing the winding thermostat to open and shut off compressor. But if continued over a long period of time the thermostat could go bad...The indoor blower relay should not cause the indoor fan motor to go bad unless it is constantly opening and closing causing a high current draw in the motor...
