Apparently, some ';jarhead'; was passing out coins that had some ';Christian'; message on them and the Muslim locals took offense.





It's hard to understand why a people whose whole lives have been turned upside down by an invading army so as to cause a civil war and destroy most of their economic base would not welcome with open arms one of the invaders who was telling them that they were going to hell aand worshipping a false god...go figure.
First off, I'm sorry you're in the hospital. If it's bad enough you need a morphine pump it has to be bad. My condolences.








Now onto the issue: It's about time they started cracking down on that Christian evangelism in the military. It's bad enough when our own soldiers are the victims of the out-of-control proselytizing or worse (read Jeremy Hall), but when the people we're at war with are being hounded it's way over the top. Did anyone ever consider this is not helping matters over there?
What a doofus that soldier was - is he deliberately trying to provoke violence? Slap upside the head, that boy needs.





I've been out of the loop as well, for less deleterious reasons (mom's birthday was yesterday) so this was the first I'd heard of it as well.
